It’s that time again…the Midcity Dog Days Sale is coming this weekend. Saturday through Sunday, August 4-5 local shops along U Street and 14th Street will be offering major discounts on their merchandise, including the famous $5 racks. Ginger Roots, featured local business from Issue #2 (shown above at Dog Days 2010,) is having a major sale with 20% off all clothing designs from their in house line and all ties. Also shop their $5 bins, raffle, and frosty drinks with the Midwest charm these ladies are famous for. Location: 1530 U Street NW
Junction Vintage will feature a $5 rack, $4 bins with records, knickknacks, and housewares. There will be store-wide markdowns up to 70% off, a free pair of select styles of sunglasses with a $50 purchase, all other records will be buy one get 50% off and there will be a surprise pop up sale all weekend. Visit them Sat-Sun 11-7pm. Location: 1510 U St. NW
DC Flea is happening at Blackbyrd warehouse on Sunday. This is the place to bargain hunt the racks for one of a kind vintage pieces selected by Danfa Steinberg.
Lettie Gooch is taking 30%+ off select merchandise. Enjoy an early bird special if you get there between 10am and 12pm. Check out the $50 and under clearance rack. Open from 12pm to 6pm. Location: 1517 U Street, NW
Treasury Vintage will have their famous $5 rack outside with men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. Clothing inside the store will be 20% off and shoes will be marked down to 50%. Location: 1843 14th Street, NW 2nd Floor. Open 11am to 7pm Saturday and Sunday until 6pm.
Home Rule’s sidewalk sale will include 5% to 70% kitchen gadgets, bathroom accessories and home goods.
