Worn Out: The Little Drummer Boy
Posted by Joshua Yospyn | June 6, 2010
In 2006 The Washington Post’s Heather Murphy wrote about the Meridian Hill drum circle and described it as a cultural mecca where anything goes. A few weeks ago I gave a camera lesson to a friend of mine and chose this spot for the same reason. It’s very camera friendly, everyone’s in good spirits and the rhythm’s gonna get you. You might see a portable hibachi filled with veggies, people on stilts or a crowd of hula hoopers in the grass. It’s worth a visit and bring a drum if you like (or just your camera).
Thanks to everyone who attended Activation 440 this weekend. I’m scanning in the 92 portraits and will post them tomorrow.
